Rogue River Fishing Report

Rogue River Fishing Report

Rogue River Fishing Report for September 26, 2024

Lots of people targeting salmon! But none were caught. With the rain we've had recently, looks like people were hoping to get a fresh push of fish up from the Grand River up the Rogue, but that doesn't appear to have materialized. Overall, was an absolutely beautiful evening for fishing.

Tenkara fishing on the Rogue River

Fished the Rogue River just below the Rockford Dam on September 26, 2024. This was an early fall evening that featured a river full of fishermen trying to catch salmon, but very few fish.
Fished with one of our Bivvy Creek tenkara rods and drifted nymphs and traditional tenkara flies through some holes and around some structures with no success.
While the water overall wasn't as warm as it has been, it was definitely quite low.
Very few fish in the system.
